Chris is an entrepreneur and professional coach with clients in business, recovery, and personal performance and development.

After 17 years of active addiction, Chris struggled to resolve the conflict between wanting to be a good man, dedicated to a life of good deeds for himself and others, and actively abusing drugs and alcohol. The last decade of his active addiction brought Chris to a deep darkness that he could no longer tolerate. He decided to do whatever it took to seek help and find the right people.

After associating himself with people who uplifted him, he became aware of the good in his life and himself and allowed “greatness” to take over. This gave him the positive energy to jump forward in life. Chris has accumulated a decade of dedicated action and accountability. He, in turn, is creating and living the future he wants. He has developed a deep connection with living life and knows how to become the active creator of habits that serve an abundant future while removing unhealthy and maladaptive habits. Chris competes in adventure races, and marathons, and in 2020, he completed his first 50-mile ultramarathon. He is currently running every day for 2,000 days (March 2022 to August 2027) to prepare to run 5,200 miles across the United States. He embodies the axiom “choose your hard.” Chris knows not only the way back from the abyss, but also the ability to help others unlock their confidence, belief, and greatness.

Nikki

Nikki

Nikki grew up with parents that instilled core values that she retains today. At a young age, she learned to help and advocate for others, and in turn, found the personal reward in doing so. Her parents taught her how to be kind, love, have integrity, work hard, and how to be a leader. Sports played a big role in her life until she became pregnant at a young age. She faced the difficulty of being a child while having a child, which put significant responsibilities and stress on her. Her addiction began shortly after the birth of her first child and spiraled into 23 years of active addiction.

Nikki lost everything during this time, including every deep relationship she held, her sense of self-worth, and self-love. She never understood why her parents made a point to ensure that she knew who God was until she began her recovery journey. On March 30, 2021 she decided to get sober. Throughout her journey, she has discovered a love for herself that she never had before. This led to greater self-worth, dignity, and selflessness. The love she has for herself has helped her understand unconditional love towards others. She attributes this success through her relationship with God, facing her fears, and challenging herself daily. Today, Nikki maintains healthy relationships with her loved ones. She is deeply passionate about her work in which she can help others and give back what recovery has given to her. She is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. She loves nature and it’s a deep connection to her spiritual self. She continues her healing by practicing yoga, playing sports, doing cold plunges, listening to music, and meditating. Today she is free to be the woman she believes God made her to be.

Hazel is a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC), Life Coach, and Experiential Therapy Practitioner. She has an artful skill in connecting with others on a profound level.

Hazel uses experiential therapy—which involves a lot of scarves, chairs, cold water dips, music, markers, curiosity, and occasional crying—that leads to healing with clients. By working outside of the box of normal “talk therapy,” she can help clients make significant breakthroughs. She helps clients become aware of their negative thoughts and to rewrite them as a way to rewire the brain. One of her mantras is, “Lean into the pain, it has something to teach you.” Hazel’s first addiction started with an eating disorder when she was only nine years old. It was her first coping skill to deal with feelings of inadequacy. She then turned to alcohol which she struggled with for 17 years. After feeling like she was “dying inside“ and hating the person she was becoming, she was blessed with the gift of desperation and began her recovery journey with Alcoholics Anonymous. After a decade of sobriety, she has worked hard to deal with the underlying issues that fed her addiction, including improving her body image and low self-worth. Hazel continues to actively engage in her own recovery every day. Hazel believes that the only way out of the pain is through it, and that pain can be our greatest teacher if we do not run from it. It takes courage to choose to face the painful, negative beliefs we have about ourselves and to work on healing them, but there is ultimately freedom and fullness on the other side. Outside of work, Hazel and her family enjoy exploring their new home in Utah after moving from the Bay Area during the COVID-19 pandemic. She and her husband of 15 years have two children and a miniature Australian Shepherd. They love connecting with the people around them and living loudly.
